Everyone needs to own a Sonicare. It's really that simple. I was turned onto them a couple years ago when some friends got a set as a wedding gift. They we're raving on and on about it, so I hopped on the bus.

I was astounded by the level of cleanliness this toothbrush was able to obtain. I had had other mechanical toothbrushes before. They were cool and all, but they didn't filling a need. However, everything they say about the Sonicare toothbrushes is true. It is a product that you shouldn't live without. It will pay for itself from the lack of dental bills and positive job interviews because your breath won't be stank.

I originally purchased the “Advance” series. When the “Elite” line came out, I was bummed because it looked so sharp. No problem. With the use of a razor, file and some ingenuity, I was able to alter my old (Advance) Sonicare base to accept the new (Elite) toothbrush heads. Even better!!! I know nothing about the other brands of sonic toothbrushes; I'm speaking only of the Philips Sonicare series. Look how they combined 'Sonic' with 'Care.' How clever is that? That's how you know they're serious about dental care!

Also, don't waste your hard-earned money on the fancy models. All they have that the bottom of the line models don't have is a timer and a little battery indicator. The batteries are always charged because you charger them when you're finished. Buy a watch if your sense of time is that bad.

Buttinsky says, “Be a cheap-ass and buy the cheapest Elite model, but don't be so much of a cheap-ass that you don't upgrade to a Sonicare. Invest in you future or enjoy your dentures.”
